Atwood praised the organization of this type of event, where readers can buy books at affordable prices and which facilitates meetings between personalities in this field to talk about their work and experiences.The Canadian writer praised the modernization of printing techniques, by way of which it is possible to publish many more texts in a shorter period time and with higher quality. In related news, Juan Jose Sanchez, president of the Miguel Hernandez Cultural Foundation from Orihuela, Spain, said he was impressed by the possibility of establishing bonds with publishing houses and organizations from different countries during the Fair. Sanchez added that such relations make it possible for foreign figures of different art expressions to take part in the literary event, while at the same time give Cubans an opportunity to access books published abroad. The program for the 19th International Book Fair held at the Morro-Cabaña cultural complex wrapped up on Sunday and will continue, as of February 24, in the rest of the country until March 7.
