Such episode is related to a national project that deals with the renewal of those equipments in the country.

"We have changed four and they are made-up with a Chinese technology. They also are provided with a time counter and were located in the intersections of Prado and Colon, Prado-Santa Cruz, Prado-Arguelles and in the corner of the Provincial Hospital, explains Manuel Castillo Pis, Electronics of the Traffic Engineering unit.

"The rests are being updated, we have changed the old bulbs for led, a light diode that permits us to save electric energy", says Castillo Pis.

For the moment on, "we are working in the program of the time counters to make them function as soon as possible.

"We are just finishing with the one located in Prado and Colon that should have a left indication from 37th street, a sigh that did not exist in that place before", comments Castillo.

In addition to such changes, the sign arrangements are among the actions enhanced by the Traffic Engineering Brigade: "we pretend to paint them all, because they constitute an important element in that of preventing accidents, what it is our priority", affirms the technician.
