| International Brigade demands the release of the Cuban Five |

The 47 brigade members, gathered at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, sent condolences to Gerardo Hernández, one of the Five, for the recent death of his mother Carmen Nordelo. Rene Le Mignot, a brigade member, explained that in France, the Free the Five Committee has put large photos of them in important places of that country, as The Bastille and in front of the US embassy in Paris. Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, and Rene Gonzalez have been serving long and unfair sentences in the US jails for over ten years, just because they were defending Cuba from terrorist actions that were planned in the US
